CHA Summer 2011 | KaiserCraft, Nikki Sivils, and Maya Road
Are you starting to get an idea of just how huge the CHA show floor is?! The summer show is traditionally much smaller than winter, and the Scrapbook Update team still managed to visit enough booths and take enough photos to keep bringing you new goodies for more than a week! Today we're continuing our booth tours with visits to see what KaiserCraft, Nikki Sivils, and Maya Road have in store for this release.
Australian company KaiserCraft debuted several new lines at the show. As a member of the sales staff said while we were in the booth, their new "13th Hour" collection doesn't "scream Halloween," but with its deep purples and golden oranges it could be used for both Halloween or general Fall photos alike.
In contrast, KaiserCraft's new "Bonjour" line is filled with soft pastels and sports a Parisian garden theme.
The "Miss Nelly" line is filled with bright floral prints in punchy colors.
KaiserCraft is another company that elected to release two Christmas lines this year. "December 25th" is their more traditional offering and is filled with vintage-style holiday imagery.
"Silly Season" (I absolutely love that name) is the brighter of the two Christmas lines and features snappy pinks, reds, and greens.
Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker unveiled five new collections featuring Nikki's darling illustrations. "School is Cool" is Nikki's back-to-school line, and it contains all the fun primary colors associated with the season.
"My Little Monster" has some of the cutest little scary guys you could ever hope to meet! It's great for everyday photos and could be used for Halloween, as well.
How cute are these corduroy brads and burlap buttons? I just love embellishments like these that are so versatile.
"Gingerbread Lane," with its sweet blue and pink color palette and small army of gingerbread men, is Nikki Sivils' Christmas release.
Nikki has partnered with Unity Stamps to produce coordinating rubber stamps for many of her lines.
"Get Well Soon" was the most popular item in Nikki's booth this CHA. It was the only "get well" themed release that I spotted at the show and fills a niche that's quite empty in the industry right now.
Nikki Sivils' last release, "You're a Hoot," features a family of adorable owls.
Maya Road, known for innovative embellishments and chipboard products, had a strong offering at the CHA Summer 2011 show. Those little chipboard banner ribbons (called "Wavy Layerable Banners") were on my pre-show picks list, and a member of the booth staff told me that "Home Tweet Home" and "When Skies Are Grey" were popular items, as well.
Maya Road introduced several new chipboard albums at this show including "Film Strip", "Wellies Boot", "Soar" (the butterfly), and a new tab book.
Wood embellishments are a hot item at this CHA show, and Maya Road debuted several new items in this category including wood doilies, snowflakes, and spools.
They also introduced two new sizes of bottle caps and several new shades of Maya Mists.
May Road's new trims are simply spectacular - so frilly and lush!
Maya Road made several additions to their kraft line, as well. Clocks, mini tags, mini tickets, snowflakes, and a 2012 calendar set are all new with this release.
Transparent mini tickets, snowflakes, and ledgers are also new for Summer 2011.
Maya Road also debuted several new styles of their popular clear stamps.
And of course, there are new canvas embellishments and albums as well - one of the hottest items in the booth according to their sales staff!
Maya Road's design team did a spectacular job with all the booth samples, so we'll round out this portion of our CHA tour with a closer look at some of them.
Stay tuned to Scrapbook Update - we have more CHA Summer 2011 booth coverage yet to come!
