A T-Shirt Reminder To Wash Your Hands!
Today I’m here with a quick & easy Cricut t-shirt project that is fun but has an important reminder….wash your hands!
We can never have too many t-shirts in this casual-comfort loving family, so it seemed appropriate to add one to the collection that acknowledges the big pandemic-related changes in our world in 2020. The solution of course was my Cricut Maker!

(For some reason I cannot comprehend the cat finds the birds in the tree outside my studio window way more interesting than my Cricut machine.)
Cricut has several collections of Covid-related images that they are offering to Cricut Design Space users for free. One set “I Love Social Distancing” has 56 images great for t-shirts and other items. Another 20 image set has signs to help businesses and other locations implement social distancing procedures.
I gave my daughter a selection of the images to choose from to make herself a t-shirt. Bridget chose this one from the “I Love Social Distancing” collection that says “Wash Your Hands” (#M14756BED).
I tend to obsess over the color choices in all of my projects, and with this graphic it was extremely important to the look of the finished design. This graphic is large and bold. I chose to cut it in white to somewhat soften the look of it.
You can see below (thanks to the wonders of Photoshop) how the white design would have looked on three different colors of background t-shirts.
The purple looks okay, but it is just kind of lacking some pop. The black is too much; it makes the white too stark. I really like the background that we actually chose, which is this pink t-shirt. Appropriately called “safety pink” by Gildan, it is bright without being harsh and is just full of fun (like my daughter).
Bridget sure loves her finished t-shirt!
