Wondering what you can do with a Silhouette if you are working on making a pocket scrapbook and do things like Project Life or SNAP by Simple Stories? I'll share my latest pocket page below to show you! I like to do most of my pocket pages by topic or event instead of by week. That just works better for the way that I take photos. This particular set of pages is from the day that my husband and I spent at Disneyland when we went to Anaheim in January for the Craft & Hobby Association trade show.
Many of the elements in this project - including many of the journaling cards - are actually print and cut elements from my Silhouette, as you can see from the supply list below.
Supplies:
Silhouette Print & Cut File: oh happy day journaling cards by Jillibean Soup
Silhouette Print & Cut File: chalkboard set - best day by Jennifer Wambach
Silhouette Print & Cut File: 2014 Portrait 3x4 journaling cards by Sarah Hurley
Silhouette Print & Cut File: Amanda McGee Awesome Life Journaling Cards
Silhouette Print & Cut File: word flags by Jillibean Soup
Silhouette Cut File: Click! by Loni Stevens
Bazzill Cardstock (white smooth, black textured)
Silhouette Printable White Sticker Paper
Bella Blvd Sophisticates Alphabet Stickers (Pink-Red High Five)
Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Marker (Peacock Feathers)
Bella Blvd Candid Cards (Lucky Starz)
Project Life Core Kit (Honey Edition by Lori Whitlock)
Martha Stewart for Avery labels
Xyron 150 adhesive machine
Sharpie Fine Point marker (black)
Four of the journaling cards are print and cut, along with a sticker I placed on one of the photos!
On this side of my layout, I used a yellow chevron journal card from the Project Life Honey kit - and then everything else came out of my Silhouette Portrait machine!
The word "click!" was cut from black textured cardstock and added on top of one of the photos using my Xyron 150 adhesive machine. The chalkboard title card is a print & cut element that is added to the page unmodified. The calendar card was printed & cut, and then the 2014 was added in Bella Blvd stickers. The blue card with red border is also a print & cut element, with the journaling added with a Sharpie Fine Point marker.
The two journaling cards with the handwriting on them are from my Project Life Honey Kit. The "oh happy day" card, which coordinates perfectly with the kit, is from a Silhouette print & cut file. The card containing the memorabilia - our Disneyland tickets - is from one of Bella Blvd's new "Candid Cards" sets. Since I had the chalkboard on the other page, I wanted to pull some gray elements onto this side to balance that. (On the other side, there are elements incorporating most of the colors on this page, also for balance).
The last element is the banner sticker that is on the large photo from New Orleans Square. The photo had a lot of white space and needed "something". This banner, created from a Jillibean Soup print & cut file on my Silhouette Portrait, fills it nicely while providing some needed yellow. Unlike some of the previous stickers I created for the candy packages, this one was created on the white printable sticker paper so that the background wouldn't show through the sticker.
