Having Fun with Cricut Joy Insert Cards!
The killer app of the Cricut Joy is the ability to make quick and easy last-minute cards. Today, I had some fun trying that out by playing with the Cricut Joy Insert Cards to make cards for several family occasions.

For these cards I used:
Cricut Joy Fine Point Pen - Black (included with Cricut Joy machine)
And that is everything!
The first card I made was “For My Husband”.This versatile card design is great for almost any occasion: birthday, anniversary, Father’s Day, or just any day. Simply change the color scheme to make it holiday appropriate! To accompany my husband’s combination birthday/anniversary gift, I made the card in dark blue with a khaki insert.
This card used nothing but the card mat. I just popped the insert card folder on the mat, loaded it in the machine, and in a matter of moments my card was done! All I had to do was place the background insert in the corner slots and write my husband a little note.
Next up was a birthday card for my daughter. This card used the pen feature for a bit extra razzle-dazzle. I loaded the card mat, locked my pen in place, and my card was ready in a matter of moments. The only tool that I needed was the scraper to clean the cut out bits off my mat when I was done!
I chose bright pink for the background insert because you can never have too much pink in my daughter’s opinion.
These insert cards were so easy to make. In 10 minutes I had two cards! I normally take forever to make handmade cards. This often means that I am a terrible cardmaker and people don’t get them at all because I end up time crunched. The Cricut Joy and the Cricut Joy insert cards are already helping to fill that gap!
