2018 Christmas Scrapbook Collection Round-Up!
It's July, and that means it's Christmas time again in the scrapbook industry! Scrapbook manufacturers have been busy announcing their 2018 Christmas scrapbook collections. With the 2018 Christmas Scrapbook Collection Round-Up, you won't miss a single one!
2018 Christmas Scrapbook Round-Up

Christmas continues to be probably the most popular single theme for which to produce scrapbooking products. Virtually every company that produces paper is producing at least one Christmas paper collection (and many are producing more than one). I located a total of 36 new Christmas themed collections that are new for 2018. And that doesn't count more generic winter themed lines that also can be used for Christmas holiday projects.
What are the trends for Christmas 2018?
There's no clear color trend for 2018 in the core Christmas colors of red and green. A variety of tones appear this season, ranging from almost neon brights to deeper vintage burgundy and evergreen. The good news is that means there is something for scrapbookers of every taste and style!
Pastel pink and blue, which started as a trend a few holiday seasons ago, seem to be taking up permanent residence in the Christmas color palette for scrapbookers. Several companies (Prima, Kaisercraft, Stamperia) are offering collections entirely based on that palette for this Christmas season. Other companies, like BoBunny and Echo Park, are offering traditional red and green collections that have pink or blue accents.
Another color that is showing up this Christmas is the use of kraft as a neutral. This probably reflects the influence of the "farmhouse" design trend on the holiday lines. Black is also appearing as a neutral background in several lines, reflecting the influence of Rifle Paper on industry design trends.
Tartan was a big trend in the fashion industry this year. Since it's a traditional design element for Christmas anyway, it's no surprise to see that trend show up prominently in this year's Christmas scrapbooking paper designs. Several companies, including Echo Park, Graphic 45, Photo Play and Simple Stories, incorporated tartan papers in their collection. For super fans of the tartan trend, Echo Park has an entire collection of holiday tartan papers called Tartan No. 2.
