May Flaum Launches Signature Line with Buttons Galore

Buttons Galore announced today that May Flaum will be partnering with the company to launch a signature line in 2016 called 28 Lilac Lane, to premiere at the CHA Mega Show in January 2016.

Every year at show time, I write at least a handful of stories on Scrapbook Update that start out something like that first paragraph. Sharing stories about designers embarking on new stages in their careers, and bringing exciting new products to scrapbookers in the process, is one of my favorite things to do at Scrapbook Update. But this time is different.

This time, it's an announcement that I was intimately involved in. May is a friend and former writer for this site, and I have been the social media manager for Buttons Galore since earlier this year. I was involved behind the scenes in the development of this line. This is an announcement that I'm excited to share both personally and professionally.

May Flaum, as her many fans here from her time writing on this site know, is a well-known former instructor for Big Picture Classes who now runs her own very successful online education site called Craft with May. She has authored two books on scrapbooking, Scrapbook Workshop: The Best Techniques From Your Favorite Scrapbook Bloggers and Paper + Pixels: Scrapbook Layouts. She has appeared on several seasons of the PBS television series Scrapbook Soup, and is a sought after designer who has worked with brands like Brother, Tim Holtz, Simon Says Stamp, Fiskars, and more.

The 28 Lilac Lane brand at Buttons Galore will feature embellishment kits and custom button mixes personally curated and designed by May, with her attention to detail and signature style.
