Two Peas in a Bucket announced today that they will stay open for sales and content viewing until July 24th:
Due to the overwhelming response to our clearance sale, we will be shipping orders through the end of the month and have decided to keep the site operational thru 7/24/2014 and expect the last order to go out the door on the 25th.

As the summer product releases approach for the second half of the year, some companies are clearing out the warehouse to make room for them. Elle's Studio is holding a summer warehouse sale. Unlike most companies, which usually sell "grab bag" style boxes, Elle's Studio is selling inventory by the individual item through their online store so their fans can buy just exactly the items they want. The sale will last until 7/21 or while supplies last.
Bloomberg reported on July 2nd that Shutterfly has hired Qatalyst Partners LLC, an investment bank, to assist it in attempting to find a buyer for itself. Shutterfly has been a public company since 2006, and owns several other brands including Tiny Prints and Borrow Lenses. The company's stock was down 24% on the year before the announcement, on fears that the company was in danger of posting its first annual loss as a public company. The stock spiked after the news, and is still trading significantly higher this week.
Shutterfly has suffered from stiff competition, a lack of competence in social media and mobile commerce, and the same malaise that has affected the scrapbook industry - a decline in the popularity of photo printing. Bloomberg reported that both private equity and acquisition by a private company are being examined as options for the company's possible future ownership.
Shimelle Laine's much-anticipated debut line with American Crafts, which was announced way back in January, will start shipping to stores this month. The line is very modern, with funky graphics in red, aqua, pink, and orange.

In addition to papers, the line includes a full assortment of embellishments and tools like dies and stamps. Among the most interesting are some new adhesive options, which will likely be of interest even to consumers who aren't fans of Shimelle's eclectic modern style.

The adhesive roller is for applying a thin line of adhesive. The adhesive dots are described as being half the thickness of regular AC dots, for creating layered effects. The third item pictured is a camera dispenser, which turns washi tape into an easy-to-use dispensed tape.

California-based Pink Persimmon stamp company is closing its doors. Owned by sisters Darcy McNairy and Judi Andersen, the company has been in business for six years creating vintage stamp images.
“We are really sad to be closing down our stamp operations, but we also have some ideas for new projects. We love working in the craft & hobby industry and hope we can stay connected to all of the wonderful crafters we have met on this journey,” McNairy said in the announcement.
The Pink Persimmon online store will remain open until July 15th for the company's closeout sale.
