It's time for another Update - your round-up of scrapbook news from around the industry. This time around, we've got some serious industry news, and a whole lot of fun too! (You know what they say about all work and no play....)
Apparently even pop princesses need to buy their own flowers sometimes, as Britney Spears was spotted recently at a Michaels store in Los Angeles. The singer, who is currently in the studio recording her next album with will.i.am, was carrying bags loaded down with artificial flowers, along with various other items. The photos in UK's Daily Mail made me feel a bit better about my own usual wardrobe for shopping at Michaels - Britney was photographed shopping in sweats, no make-up, and really messy hair.
Jo-Ann Stores are looking for a District Team Leader in the Raleigh, NC area. This position requires a four year college degree and 3 to 5 years supervisory experience preferably in a retail environment.
American Crafts has a design team call out that closes this week (on Friday, June 28th). The call requires submitting 2 scrapbook pages, 1 card, and 2 other types of general crafting or DIY projects. International applicants are welcome and the new team will be announced in early July.
Faber-Castell USA has hired Delanie West as Vice President, Creativity Center (Product Development). West will serve as a member of the Faber-Castell USA operating committee.
West, whose previous positions include being Vice President & General Manager of Creative and Product Development at EK Success/Wilton Brands, has more than 17 years of experience in creative design and product development. She will be responsible for the Creativity for Kids and Faber-Castell brands, along with the company's Creativity Center.

The Disneyland Resort is the most Instagrammed place in the U.S., according to the Disney Parks blog. More than 8 million photos have been Instagrammed from the Disneyland Resort.
As part of the announcement, Disney announced that they are joining Instagram with an account called @Disneyland.
