Gallery Highlights | 1.3.2013
Welcome to the first Gallery Highlights for this year! I have just a few beautiful selections this week as we recover from celebrating the holidays and get back to our normal routines. Let’s go take a look at this week's finds and I hope you like them all as much as I do. Don’t forget – you can click on the links to visit the layouts in their galleries and view supply lists, leave a comment for the designer, or view the designer’s other work.
December Cover by tracermajig
I am a huge fan of everything Trace creates and this December Daily cover is simply stunning. I love the simple tree, the beautiful word art and the scattered ornaments across the front. Absolutely gorgeous!
Christmas Blessings by Melinda Spinks
Melinda's layout is so beautiful and I love the way she used this layout to announce her pregnancy to family and friends. In order to keep the focus on the photo, she placed it in the bottom corner by itself. The layout's background is a beautiful collage of papers with a honeycomb grid layered over it and the title and journaling layered over that. What a gorgeous announcement this makes!
Frosty Winter Day by ang66
Ang did a beautiful job keeping the focus on her gorgeous photo in this next layout. She used muted grays for the entire background and used a simple scalloped border as her only real embellishment.
Christmas Traditions by Jana Morton
Jana's layout is all about her family's Christmas traditions and I absolutely love the way she did this! Using a grid pattern, she used squares to hold all of her journaling and used the color scheme of aqua, red, and white to perfection. The large round embellishment behind the title is the perfect finishing touch.
And there you have them - our gallery highlights! I love all of these and I really do wish we had time and space to feature more of the amazing designs out there. Thanks so much to all of the designers who shared their work with us this week. What were your favorite gallery layouts last week? Feel free to link us to them in the comments and let us know what you think and which are your current favorites in the galleries!
