Gallery Highlights | 11.22.2012 - December Daily
Welcome to Gallery Highlights for this week, and Happy Thanksgiving! Now that the turkey is roasted and the potatoes are mashed, it's time to plan for the holiday season.
To help inspire your holiday planning, this week's gallery finds are all December Daily projects. Let’s go take a look at them and I hope you like them all as much as I do. Don’t forget – you can click on the links to visit the layouts in their galleries and view supply lists, leave a comment for the designer, or view the designer’s other work.
December Daily Album Cover by AllisonWaken
Allison's album cover is the epitome of simple perfection. She used an embossed kraft chipboard album as her base and painted it white. She then layered baker's twine over the front and added a bright red holiday label to the center of the album. She finished it by adding letter stickers under the label for a very simple and sophisticated album cover.
December Daily 2012 Cover by anrobe
Amy is creating a hybrid album this season. She used a digital template for her cover and will print it out and add it to a paper album. Her bright green patterned paper acts as a wonderfully festive base that she then customized with tags and seasonal embellishments. She'll continue to use 6 x 8 December Daily templates for her photos throughout the month and then print everything out to complete the hybrid album with paper elements.
December Daily Cover by amber*rohrer
Amber's album is a 5x7 3-ring kraft album. She used custom stamps for both the cover title and on her spine. She stamped the titles and then embossed them. The cover title is a gorgeous sparkly red and she combined the same beautiful red with a bright green stamp on the spine. She then added an adhesive Santa flair button to the spine as the final festive touch.
December Daily 2012 by Shellye_McDaniel
Shellye used a kraft binder with a red spine as her base. She stitched together a bright turquoise polka-dot paper with a piece of patterned paper and adhered them to the front of the binder. She added lace and ribbons and snowflake embellishments as well as varied alphabet stickers for her title. She finished it off with an adorable snowman. As you can see, she has also finished her base pages and added coordinating ribbons to many of them. I can't wait to see this finished album!

Tracy is using a 4 x 6 album for her December Daily album. The chevron template was cut with a die-cutting machine and then hand-painted with gray and white paint onto the album. She used die-cut holly leaves, bright berries and a small kraft tag as her only embellishments for an adorable album cover.

Monica's album is the perfect example of clean and simple scrapbooking at its best. She used a kraft album with a red fabric spine as her base. She stamped a simple sentiment on the front cover and added a snowflake ornament as her only embellishment. I love the simplicity of her album cover and the way she allowed the beautiful ornament to shine on its own.
Christmas Memories 2012 by Lisa H
Lisa's album cover is a soft white with a turquoise polka-dot binding accented with red gingham. She continued the color theme throughout the cover, adding in a lot of silvery and sparkly accents as well. I love all of the details she added including doilies, tags, stickers, and adorable little trees.
December Daily - The Beginning by A2Kate
Katie's album is a beautiful embossed album that she painted with a pearl metallic paint. She added kraft twine along the spine. In the center, she added just a few embellishments and a title all in neutral hues. The metallic pearl cover and the kraft and tan embellishments combine to make a gorgeous natural and sophisticated album cover.
