Video | DIY Mason Jar Snowglobe

This is my favorite time of year, and one so filled with crafting inspiration all around - from DIY blogs to Martha Stewart, regular crafters to those who only get creative for the holidays. One project that keeps popping up are snow globes. I don't think mason jar snow globes are a new idea, but they are popular showing up even in trendy shops like Anthropologie.

Today I want to share with you how I make jar snow globes - though I call mine "faux snow globes" because I opt to skip adding liquid and just make pretty scenes. With just a few little treasures, a jar, and some adhesive you can make yourself a great project. To better illustrate my process I have created a video to share:

From true vintage finds to inexpensive treasures found at the craft or hobby store, the possibilities stretch far beyond winter or Christmas. Any time of year, any theme can be used for this project. Add in photos, shells from a beach vacation, or anything else! The small size makes them less intimidating in my mind, and I am having a lot of fun crafting these this winter.

I am sharing all of my crafting adventures this holiday season with a special "25 Days of Holiday Crafting" series on my blog. If you would like to read more of my holiday craft posts, I invite you to visit www.mayflaum.com - and I wish you happy holiday crafting!
